David A. Andelman is the Editor of World Policy Journal. Previously he served as Executive Editor of Forbes.com. Earlier, he was a domestic and foreign correspondent for The New York Times in various posts in New York and Washington, as Southeast Asia bureau chief, based in Bangkok, then East European bureau chief, based in Belgrade. He then moved to CBS News where he served for seven years as Paris correspondent, traveling through and reporting from more than 70 countries. He is the author of three books, most recently, A Shattered Peace: Versailles 1919 and the Price We Pay Today.
Dr. Mark Galeotti is Clinical Professor of Global Affairs of New York University’s SCPS Center for Global Affairs and an expert on Russian politics and security, as well as transnational crime and espionage. Born in the UK, he read history at Cambridge University and then took his doctorate in Russian politics at the London School of Economics. Before coming to NYU, he was head of the history department at Keele University and an advisor on Russian foreign and security policy at the British Foreign & Commonwealth Office. He has published widely, with more than a dozen authored and edited books to his name, also writes for the Russian press and his blog, In Moscow’s Shadows, has been described as a “must-read for Russian crime and security affairs.”

Kevin Murungi holds a BA from Middlebury College where he majored in Political Science and minored in Economics. He also holds an MA in International Affairs from the School of International Service at American University. He is currently the Project Director of the Global Kids U.S. in the World International Law and Foreign Policy summer program at the Council on Foreign Relations. Kevin also planned and led the Human Rights Activist Project (HRAP) International trip to Kenya for five Global Kids students in the summer of 2009. He also played a key role as a member of the research team that worked on the book Not on Our Watch: The Mission to End Genocide in Darfur and Beyond by John Prendergast and Don Cheadle. Kevin is a Kenyan national, speaks fluent Kiswahili, and has traveled to the UK, Uganda, Germany, the Netherlands, Mexico and Canada.
Jason Patinkin is a writer and photographer based in Nairobi, Kenya. A graduate of Columbia University in New York City, he taught middle school on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation in South Dakota before relocating to East Africa. His work has been featured on GlobalPost, Salon, and numerous other print and online publications.
W. Alejandro “Alex” Sanchez is a Research Fellow at the Council on Hemispheric Affairs (COHA) where he focuses on geopolitical, military and cyber security issues. He is also a regular contributor for VOXXI. He regularly appears in different media outlets like Al Jazeera, El Comercio (Peru), El Nuevo Dia, among others. His analyses have appeared in numerous refereed journals including Small Wars and Insurgencies, Defence Studies, the Journal of Slavic Military Studies, European Security, Studies in Conflict and Terrorism and Cuban Affairs.
