U.S. President Donald Trump, who called Christine Blasey Ford a “credible” witness after her testimony against his Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh, mocked the woman’s account of the alleged sexual assault at a rally in Mississippi on Tuesday.
In a crude imitation of Ford’s testimony, Trump delivered a question-and-answer ridicule, picking selective questions asked by the Senate judiciary committee, drawing the attention of a raucous crowd to the fact that the accuser couldn’t even recall the details of the time and place of the assault, notes The Guardian.
Trump has ordered an FBI investigation into Ford’s claims, and the report will be passed to the White House, which in turn will hand it down to the Senate before it votes on whether to confirm Judge Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court, writes the BBC.
