French President Emmanuel Macron is set to overhaul his cabinet to bolster his push for economic reforms, a move that comes on the heels of the environment minister’s surprise resignation last week.

Macron, who has apparently endured a one-year long phase of his waning popularity with a degree of self-assurance, finds himself vulnerable in the face of a sluggish economic growth and discontent over his investor-friendly reforms, notes Reuters.

Voters comprising conservative pensioners to low-income workers are rejecting Macron’s policies, which they complain are designed to benefit big businesses and the affluent sections, reports Voice Of America.
