Tech entrepreneur Elon Musk apologized on Wednesday for his unseemly “pedo guy” jibe at a British diver, Vern Unsworth, who had earlier dismissed mini-submarines sent by the Tesla chief for Thai cave rescue mission, as a “PR stunt.”

Musk admitted that he made the insulting comment on Unsworth in a fit of rage while reminding that the British diver was spreading "untruths" about his mini-submarine, which was designed based on specifications from the dive team leader, writes the BBC.

Musk was lauded for his gesture after he came forward to help rescue 12 boys and their coach trapped in a Thai cave earlier this month but his submarine was called impractical for the operation, reports CNBC.
