U.S. President Donald Trump is set to meet a “nervous” British Prime Minister Theresa May as he visits the U.K. with a schedule tailored to avoid widespread protests in London.
Trump’s two-day working visit comes at a time when the British government grapples with the chaotic aftermath of resignation by two senior ministers, who sounded off on May’s “weak” Brexit strategy, notes the BBC.
May and her ministers plan to flatter Trump with pomp and royalty but “mishaps, gaffes or insults” from the capricious American leader can’t be ruled out, reports The Guardian.
