In a blow to the groundbreaking diplomatic progress achieved over the last few weeks, North Korea threatened to pull out of a planned summit with U.S. President Donald Trump if Washington pursued “one-sided” denuclearization deal.

The stinging statement from Pyongyang followed U.S. National Security Adviser John Bolton’s call for a verifiable denuclearization of N. Korea on the lines of a “Libya model,” writes the BBC.

Incensed by the start of U.S.-South Korea joint military drills, N. Korea also cancelled a meeting with officials from Seoul, calling the exercise a barrier to diplomatic efforts, notes The Guardian.
