In line with the philosophy that meat consumption and enjoyment should not become suffering of other beings, a startup called Right Treat, is set to launch new vegan pork, which is healthier and more ethical alternative to the most popular global meat.

“Omnipork,” based on a blend of plant-based protein from pea, non-GMO soy, shiitake mushroom, and rice, has the same flavor and consistency as that of traditional pork, but without the latter’s environmental impact and health consequences, writes Live Kindly.

Founder David Yeung claims the “superfood” is a “long-term win-win-win for the planet, mankind and animals” and could be an effective way to phase out global meat consumption to lower greenhouse gas emissions, notes Green Matters.
