How can technology play its part to coalesce the viewers with the artwork? A CGI animation, created by art studio Prudence Cuming Associates, gives a glimpse of this by taking the viewers to a journey “inside” Damien Hirst’s painting “Veil of Earth,” imagining another dimension of the artwork.

The digital replica mimics the exact texture of the painting’s undulating 3D surfaces, stringing together pull-back photographs and macro shots to create art within art, reports Dezeen.

The animation subtly replicates the sensory experience of looking at the painting and coursing one’s way into the fantasy landscape, revealing the whole painting at the end.
