Amazon has filed patent for a delivery drone that will identify human gestures such as waving arms, pointing, the flashing of lights and speech from midair, and then respond accordingly.

These drones will be loaded with an array of sensors, including depth sensors and infrared, along with extremely sensitive microphones, writes The Verge.

While the concept of drones reacting to human calls on the go sounds impressive, chances are strong that the idea never takes off and meets the same fate as Amazon’s long-proposed self-destructing delivery drone and a giant floating fulfillment center, notes Futurism.
