Ousted U.S. Secretary of State, Rex Tillerson, in his parting statement, hailed America’s progress in mending ties with China and reining in North Korea while warning over Russia's “troubling behavior and actions.”
Tillerson, who had a rocky tenure at the White House, was fired on Tuesday for lacking personal “chemistry” with President Donald Trump, reports the BBC.
Tillerson will be replaced by Mike Pompeo, the C.I.A. director and former Tea Party congressman, who as per Trump, has a similar thought process over wide-ranging issues related to economic and foreign policy, writes The New York Times.
