World largest car hire firm LeasePlan set for flotation

Buoyed by record set of profits as people ditch car ownership in favor of “usership,” the world’s largest car hire company LeasePlan is set to launch on the Amsterdam stock exchange in June.

The company, in the process of overhauling its organizational structure to trim costs, posted a 13 percent jump in its profits and has inked a deal with Uber to provide drivers with access to its fleet, writes The Telegraph.

LeasePlan, which maintains a fleet of 1.7 million cars, is expected to rake in another €90m in gains from the new sales channel, notes Dutch News
