The geopolitical developments today bear an uncanny resemblance to the Cold War era after World War II. The U.S. and Russia trading barbs on each other over meddling with domestic issues but none in a position to engage in open hostilities.

While the rhetoric in the past centered largely on stockpiling nuclear and missile arsenal, the modern cold war has a new weapon- Artificial Intelligence, writes The Conversation.

Jeremy Straub, an assistant professor at North Dakota State University, warns that AI is the new “weapon of choice,” with its power to launch cyber attacks and control both nuclear and non-nuclear weaponry, notes Express.
