Dubai’s swanky urbanscape will host a $140 million “Mars Science City,” a giant expanse of 1.9 million sq. ft. planned to simulate the life on the Red Planet as part of the country’s initiative to champion space explorations and contribute to the global science movement.
The U.A.E., which has chalked out a 100-year plan to get to Mars, already has robotic police and autonomous taxi drones serving its reputation as a sci-fi city, notes New Atlas.
Mars Science City will feature laboratories for the study of food, energy and water along with a museum showcasing humanity’s greatest space achievements, writes Arch Daily.
