At least 20 people have been killed and 100 others injured after a gunman fired hundreds of shots at an open-air country music festival at the Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas on Monday. The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police said on Twitter that one suspect was “down” and that they believed there were no more attackers.

The police had earlier warned people to stay away from the Mandalay Bay Strip as there were reports following reports of an active shooter, writes CNN.

Videos posted on social media showed panic-struck people running for cover as a prolonged automatic gunfire thundered in the backdrop, notes the BBC.
