Dutch architecture firm Edhv Studio is harnessing natural energy in its “Frost Light,” an innovative lamp that runs on power drawn from melting ice, exhibiting the magic of thermodynamics in a simple way.

The electricity produced as a result of the temperature gradient created by melting of ice can power the “Frost Light” for nearly three hours.

The melting ice lamp has been developed as part of an exhibition, titled Power Play, which explores how natural energy can be transformed into valuable products or objects, writes Inhabitat
