Kenyan court to detail poll verdict amid tight security

Kenyan forces tightened security around the country’s Supreme Court on Wednesday ahead of an eagerly awaited verdict that will detail the reasons why the judges annulled last month’s presidential elections.

The judgment on Wednesday will reveal whether the annulment of polls was on procedural flaws or the election was systematically rigged as alleged by opposition leader Raila Odinga, writes Reuters.

According to a report published in a Nairobi-based newspaper, Kenya’s electoral commission plans to propose October 26 as the new vote date, notes Bloomberg
