Keeping up with the “eco shifts” in the automobile industry, carmaker Jaguar Land Rover has announced that all its new models from 2020 will be electric or hybrid.
The announcement by Britain’s biggest carmaker comes as governments across the world ramp up their efforts to restrict climate change and embrace technologies that cut down carbon emissions, reports the BBC.
Jaguar’s decision follows rival British brand Aston Martin’s announcement of electrifying all its cars by 2025 and Swedish brand Volvo’s plan to pull the plug on gas-only vehicle by 2019, notes The Verge.
