Despite all the positives of tapping solar energy, the sea of blue panels obscuring natural landscapes, rooftops and even facades still is an eyesore to many. Thankfully, researchers at AMOLF have engineered a new range of solar panels that appear green owing to silicon nanopattern technique.

The technique could also lead to colorful solar panels, which would allow seamless integration in the architectural design of houses, encouraging more people to switch to green power, writes Inhabitat.

Although the technique compromises efficiency of the panels but its easy scalability for fabrication process and aesthetic enhancement offset this drawback, notes Science Daily.
