As unbelievable as it may sound, U.S.-based startup, ET3, has proposed a hyper chariot system, which it claims will deliver the experience of “space travel on earth” by catapulting passengers from one part of the world to another at a speed of 4,000 mph.

The proposed system is based on evacuated tube transport technology and comprises car-sized pods that speed through 5ft vacuumed concrete tubes, notes Design Boom. The system, equipped with photovoltaic panels, is self-reliant for power demands and offers relatively much cheaper and efficient transportation compared to Elon Musk’s Hyperloop.

With saloon car-sized vehicles that can carry one to six people, Hyper Chariot offers personalized mobility whereas Hyperloop ferries large group of people in giant pods, writes Independent
