Google Street View is now offering the world’s first virtual tour that allows one to experience the thrill of skydiving from within the comforts of a room. When the image of skydivers standing outside the sky blue plane on Google Maps is clicked, the viewer is taken to a height of up to 16,500 feet above the scenic Abel Tasman National Park in New Zealand, from where he heads towards the sun-soaked beaches and glimmering ocean at a speed of 125 miles per hour.
Certified Google Street View photographer, Alex Mather, teamed up with the local skydiving company Skydive Abel Tasman to create the world’s first Google Street View skydiving experience, writes Mashable.
Mather captured the views from the ground using a high-end D.S.L.R. camera and wide-angle lenses and then stringed together images taken from different altitudes to replicate the skydiving experience, notes Seeker.
