Scientists with NASA are studying how Earth's gravity is affecting the shape of the moon. The gravitational forces between the two celestial bodies are having an impact on the changing shape of the moon, which -- so far as it has been studied -- appears to develop a 20-inch rise onthe near side of the moon because of Earth's pull.
