China sentences 55 in mass trial in Xianjiang

The public sentencing took place in an auditorium in the restless Xianjiang province, and follows a similar mass trial held last week. Beijing is grappling to contain a wave of terrorist attacks it blames on Islamist extremists based in Xianjiang.
