Polio spreads to Iraq from Syria

Cases of polio have been confirmed in Iraq, worrying the rest of the Middle East countries that have been rid of the virus for years. Turkey has increased its vaccination campaigns. The virus has reportedly moved through Syria to Iraq. The virus originated in Pakistan -- one of the reservoirs for the deadly strain.
