S.Sudan peace talks resume, U.N. warns of crisis

Mediation of the three month-old conflict has stalled amidst escalating ethnic tensions in the world's poorest country. The United Nations cautions that in the absence of needed humanitarian aid, a potential catastrophe is looming. Roughly 3.7 million people are at risk for food insecurity while some 700,000 are displaced within South Sudan.
