U.S. nixes Afghan election poll cash after flap

As the United States and its NATO allies look ahead with trepidation to Afghan elections next year, they will not have their own polling data to predict the outcome nor to help ensure the results match public opinion, having been forced to squash their survey program when local pols took umbrage.
