Libya minister survives assassination attempt

On the way to parliament early Wednesday, Interior Minister Seddik Abdelkarim, who is also deputy prime minister, had his vehicle assaulted by an assortment of unknown gunmen. No one was hurt, but the attack serves as a reminder of instability in the country just a few weeks after the deputy industry minister was killed.
