Ancient forests stabilized CO2 levels

Forests and clusters of trees have been found to adjust their consumption of carbon dioxide in proportion to how much is available in the air. U.K. researchers have discovered the biological mechanism that has stabilized Earth's atmosphere for 24 million years. They are calling the process "weathering".
