Texas faces outcry after executing Mexican

Texas has ignited controversy over its decision to execute Edgar Tamayo, a Mexican national convicted of killing a Houston police officer in 1994. The execution came despite protests from the U.S. State Department and the Mexican government, which argued that Texas police did not abide by the Vienna Convention.
