Sharks and rays now on world's red list

A study conducted by the International Union for Conservation of Nature's Shark Specialist Group shows that whole groups of cartilaginous fish could go extinct because of human hunting and overexploitation. The species of shark and ray specifically are vital connections to evolution, and their extinction would greatly upset waters in which they go absent.
