Barcelona FC midfielder Xavi Hernández, who has spent his entire career with his hometown team, has been linked to a move to Major League Soccer's New York City Football Club. Manchester City of the English Premier League co-owns NYCFC with the New York Yankees of Major League Baseball and are considering signing Hernández for the clubs inaugural season in 2015. However, such a move is unlikely with the soon-to-be 34-year-old still playing an integral role for the La Liga club.
