Indian troops, acting on information from a local source, killed three militants in Kashmir's Sopore district, including a divisional commander of the banned Jaish-e-Mohammed organization. Violence in Kashmir, ongoing since 1947, took a serious toll on security forces in 2013, according to Indian authorities.
