U.S. job growth slows sharply in December

The U.S. economy created just 74,000 jobs in December, the fewest in almost three years and a sharp fall from numbers of over 200,000 in the prior two months. The unemployment rate was the lowest since October 2008 and mostly reflected people leaving the labor force.
