Fidel Castro makes rare public appearance

Fidel Castro, who served as Cuba's president for more than three decades and as its prime minister for almost five, made his first appearance in public since April 2013 on Wednesday. He appears in the midst of a slow-moving economic reform effort undertaken by his brother, current president Raul.
