Geithner heads to private equity

Former U.S. Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner will join private-equity firm Warburg Pincus in March. Geithner, who was Treasury secretary at the outbreak of the 2008 global financial crisis and is credited with playing a major role in handling the crisis, will become the New York firm’s president and managing director working on overall strategy and management.
