The Qatar Tourism Authority has struck a promotional deal with French soccer club Paris St-Germain reportedly worth $200 million-270 million a season, believed to be one of the largest sponsorship deals an individual club has signed. Despite hosting a number of international sporting events, and being due to stage soccer's 2022 World Club, Qatar has not established itself as a tourist destination as successfully as its neighbour Dubai.
