Tina Brown abandons The Beast

Tina Brown, editor-in-chief of news and culture web site The Daily Beast, is to leave Barry Diller's IAC/InterActivecorp after five years to form a new company devoted to summits, salons and debates. Brown described her new venture as a home for “theatrical journalism.” Tina Brown Live Media will produce events such as the Women in the World conference, which Brown has run since 2010.
