Barclays is reportedly being investigated by the U.S. Justice department in connection with allegations that it made improper payments to Prince Turki bin Abdullah bin Abdel Aziz, a son of Saudi Arabia's King Abdullah. Barclays has denied any wrong doing and is cooperating with the investigation, the Financial Times reports. The bank remains under investigation by U.S. and U.K. authorities over the terms of a capital injection by Qatar during the global financial crisis in 2008.
