Going into Germany, Arsenal faced an improbable mission of advancing to the Champions League quarterfinals. They came close, however. Bayern Munich beat Arsenal 3-1 in London three weeks ago and Arsenal won the second leg 2-0 in Germany today. With the aggregate score even at 3-3, Bayern Munich advances to the quarterfinals on away goals (3-2). Arsenal was the last team from England in the Champions League and Bayern Munich, who is the favorite, lost for the first time in 2013 and looked uncharacteristically slow in today's match.
