Election day nears in Kenya

The Kenyan government is cracking down on hate speech as voters prepare to head to the polls on Monday in a nation plagued by bitter ethnic rivalries and land disputes that exploded in a disputed (and bloody) 2007 contest. Already, violence has begun to surge in slums, suggesting a reprise of sorts may well be in order.
