Twitter raises ad pricing pre-IPO

Twitter's raised the price of its Promoted Trend ad product by 33% to $200,000 for U.S. ads. Promoted Trend is similar to a banner ad, an advertising message that appears on top of the "trends" list on the social media site's homepage. Twitter sells one ad per territory each day. 
 
The price increase comes just as Twitter is planning an IPO.
