Ecuador names new central bank president

Diego Martinez, a 34-year-old economist, will head Ecuador’s central bank, following December's resignation of former president Pedro Delgado, admitting he did not hold a university degree. It's expected that Martinez, who sympathizes with the left-leaning government headed by Rafael Correa, will continue deepening state intervention in the economy.
