T-Mobile has traditionally been in fourth place among U.S. wireless operators behind Sprint, AT&T, and Verizon, but its new offer of unlimited data plans to customers without annual contracts could appeal to a large number of users. At $70 a month, unlimited 4G data is an attractive option for customers who don't want the trappings of a binding contract with a wireless provider.
