Sony and Panasonic credit ratings reduced to junk

Two iconic Japanese electronics brands, Sony and Panasonic, had their credit rating cut to junk by the U.S. ratings agency Fitch. Sony’s rating was cut by three levels to BB-, three steps below investment grade, and Panasonic by two levels to BB, with the outlook on both companies being negative.
