Aircel to cut 600 jobs

India's fifth-largest mobile phone carrier is cutting 12% of its workforce in scaling back service in five areas of the country. Second-tier carrier worldwide are facing escalating costs for network upgrades and ever thinning margins, two trends driving a consolidation of the mobile telephony industry
