Amil said in acquisition talks with UnitedHealth

The Brazilian insurance group and hospital operator is reportedly in talks to be acquired by UnitedHealth, the leading U.S. health insurer, in a deal likely to be valued at at least $5 billion. U.S. health insurers are looking to expand internationally, particularly in fast growing emerging markets, as their industry faces greater domestic regulation.
