NEW YORK — Last night, movers, shakers, and culture-makers from the worlds of art, science, media, and politics gathered for the eighth annual Blouin Foundation Gala Dinner & Award Ceremony. Thrown at New York's historic Metropolitan Club, the tony black-tie affair was the social counterpart to the Foundation's Creative Leadership Summit, a sweeping two-day think-tank on global innovation and creative problem solving.

The gala’s nearly 200 distinguished guests — who included artists, academics, and ambassadors — enjoyed an elegant dinner as publisher and philanthropist Louise Blouin and CNN’s World Business correspondent and the evening’s Master of Ceremonies Felicia Taylor awarded American Nobel-prize winning chemist, Peter C. Agre, Egyptian CEO Mohamed A. El-Erian, and Iranian artist Shirin Neshat for their achievements.
