Rattled by a series of suspected explosives that were mailed to high-profile American personalities, including ex-president Barack Obama and actor Robert De Niro, the FBI on Thursday searched a mail facility in Miami to track down the sender of these packages.
The investigators confirmed that some of the bomb shipments originated from Florida while not ruling out the possibility that further packages have been or could be mailed ahead of the crucial national elections slated for November, notes Reuters.
Although no one has been hurt by the pipe bombs, all sent to the vocal critics of U.S. President Donald Trump, the security agencies said they are not treating the threat as a hoax.
Amid frantic searches, Charles Schumer and Nancy Pelosi, the Democratic leaders in Congress, lambasted the president for his divisive words and actions, which they said, condone physical violence, reports The Guardian.
